Overview
This is a training course in the use of network planning and scheduling techniques using Microsoft Project. This course explains core project management concepts and combines lectures with hands-on exercises using Microsoft Project 98 and previous releases. The course is taught in-house and can be customized to address specific organization needs, people and projects. The course is intended for project managers, their team members and support personnel. Upper management often attends the opening session, making this an ideal kick-off for new projects.
The course is also valuable to organizations that are evaluating
project management concepts and software. The course combines project management
fundamentals with Microsoft Project software training. By maintaining a
balance between the features and capabilities of the software with the essential
processes of project management, the course emphasizes the need for this
balance in a successful project.
Customized versions of the course
often
contain an organization-specific case study.
